PROCESS :
Our process of making a custom Moroccan rug begins by hand-picking the wool from piles of sheep from Beni ourain. Each sheep contains a different kind of wool. Consequently, there must be an even mix of wool from different sheep. Once the wool has been collected, the rug is then woven with colored or non colored thread to create a custom design.
DESIGN:
Authentic Berber carpet rugs are surprisingly modern looking, featuring minimalist designs of diamonds, triangles, or naive figures in black on a white or cream background.
Their abstract simplicity made them attractive to famous modernist architects in the 1920’s and 30’s.
HANDMADE STYLE:
